Funny Bear Apps (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the ByteBeats mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

By using ByteBeats, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. What the App Does

ByteBeats is a music player. It helps you play audio files from locations you choose (such as folders on your device, media libraries where the operating system allows access, network shares, or cloud accounts you sign into). Your library content and listening stay under your control; we do not operate a streaming catalog or sell your music.

2. Information on Your Device

To provide features, the App may store data locally on your device, for example:

• Paths, metadata, and preferences related to your library and playlists
• Cached or downloaded audio or artwork you choose to save for playback
• Credentials or tokens you provide for optional services (for example, sign-in to a cloud provider), using secure storage where the platform supports it

We do not require you to create an account with us to use core playback features.

3. Permissions and System Access

Depending on your device and which features you use, the App may request access explained in the system permission prompts, such as:

• Music / media library — to list and play music you authorize
• Files or folders — to read audio you select
• Local network — to reach music libraries on your network (for example SMB)
• Photos (optional) — if you choose images from your library for custom artwork
• Microphone-related audio — where required by the system for standard media playback behavior; we do not record your voice for ByteBeats features

You can revoke permissions in your device settings; some features may stop working if access is denied.

4. Third-Party Services

If you connect optional services (for example Google for Google Drive), those providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies. We recommend reviewing Google’s policies when you use Google Sign-In or Google APIs. Network and cloud features only run when you use them.

5. Analytics and Crash Reporting

We may use platform or third-party tools for anonymous crash reporting or usage analytics to improve stability and features. Such data is generally aggregated and not used to identify you personally. If we add analytics, we will describe them in app store listings and update this policy as needed.

6. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the App. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last Updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
